Totoe, hello- I use a plain dbl. reed,and I blow the highnote, softly.and to get a purr, I leave my lips loose -like children do when they are playing w./toy cars & boats to make a "motor sound"-You should try it. it's only drawback ( for me ) it tickles my lips. but it's effective when Tommy three toes is close & you cannot get away with any movement with a striker or box-GOOD LUCK !!!
