One shot that stands out in my mind was made when a huntin friend and myself had scored on a bird first thing in the morning.He killed the bird so I was up,and later that morning was set-up on an approaching gobbler with my buddy set-up right behind me looking over my shoulder.We were set-up against a small manzanita bush with the trunk in between us as the bird was coming in right out in front of me.At about the 60 yard mark the bird went silent and I knew he was still approaching.When he didnt show up at the pace he was coming in at I knew something was wrong and just as I began to look to my left he gobbled back to my left and behind me!Now he was in front of my partner and as I looked back over my left shoulder behind me over my partners shoulder there he was.The limbs wouldn't let me move my gun completely around so I did the next best thing,I layed my gun down told my partner to give me his gun,and a tough situation turned into a happy one!!!
