Newfondland has a lot of moose. I don't know about 50 inchers but if I lived in East USA and wanted a "good moose" at a reasonable price I would go to "the rock".

If I wanted a "great moose" and was willing to pay, I might go to B.C. or Alaska.

If I wanted a great fishing trip and a chance at a good moose and/or a bear, I might go to Andrew lake lodge in N. Alberta.

As it is I live in west-centeral Alberta and can shoot an "eating bull" moose 15 min. from my front door if I can get drawn for a tag.
