Default RE: Franchi 48AL

I have an AL-48 12 gauge with 26" barrel. I only use this gun for upland huntting(mainly pheasants). I absolutely love it! It weighs about 6 1/2 pounds and because it's a long recoil operated gun, It has a real slim forearm. It feels more like an o/u than a semi-auto. It comes up fast and swings quickly. It will more than likely take a few boxes of shells to break in and function properly. These guns are a pain to unload. You can't cycle the action to remove the shells in the magazine like most other guns. That's the only thing I don't like about the 48's. A small price compared to the other great attributes.
The 20 gauge is even smaller and lighter.
