My German Shep had it a few years back. His joints were sore all the time and he lost some weight. Soon as we thought he was over it he started having seizures. They thought he would have epilepsy also, but after about 3-4months he never had anymore. 3-4months sounds long but once it started to clear it only had about 1 per month.
