I cut a small bucks throat. He had been hit by a car and the driver and his buddy were trying to finish it off by hitting it in the head with a hammer. The deer had both back legs broken and was struggling to move with it's front legs. I pulled over, walked in front of the numbskulls, grabbed the deer by one of his antlers and cut his throat with my pocket knife. He was dead in less than a minute. A much better choice than I made when I finished off a doe my dad shot during ML season. I do not recommend shooting a deer in the head with a .50 cal ML. Too messy. Had to look between its legs to make sure it wasnt a button buck...
