Default RE: Are any of you still hunting with bow successfully

Hey, Dutch. Still/ground hunting is all I did last year. The closest I came was ten yard from three deer. Unfortunately for me, I didn't realize I was that close 'till I heard the infamous wheeze and saw the even more infamous flag bolting away. If you're serious about trying it, there're some books written about it. Still hunter's bible or something like that. I think it's by G. Fred Asbell, but not sure about that either. One tip I've picked up from other people would be; if there's traffic nearby (I'd a US route running closeby) make your noise when the cars go by. That'll mask your noise. You definitely have to be more conscience of movement, scent, and the noise you make. I hope I'm not telling you stuff you already know; and sure hope I don't sound like Mr. Native American <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> Take care and God bless.
