I saw this episode. I didn't find anything to be wrong with what he did. I was particularly glad to see him take the time to explain why he took the shot. I do not however agree with taking a bird off the roost ever. I passed up several birds on the roost and feel that if you are a good enough woodsman to get under a roosted turkey, you should be a good enough hunter to take a bird ethically.
