It's important to pick a model that will give a variety in the balance and weight characteristics and go from there.
For shock absorption/recoil reduction, SorboTek/ProTek, Stealth,& Sims are tough to beat.
All of these models come in various lengths/weights or in the case of the Stealth, can even be custom ordered.
Knowing what I do

, the "medium" SorboTek/ProTek will likely provide excellent balance in that model, assuming your sight and rest are not overly heavy or unbalancing. That said I always use the long model on my personal bows since I prefer the bow to tip forward and I also prefer the extra mass weight.
However your best bet is to hit a local shop or three that has all the models you'd like to try, and then
try them. Take notes if you are going to different shops, and then make your decision.
