captain,

I see your point, it isn't the "traditional" bow advertising, but, this un-traditional advertising is making the company money and is promoting their bow lineup. Just think of how many people out there read this post, which started with negative comments, that might not have known about Martin bows. It is all about shock value.

These guys who own bow companies for the most part are sportsmen, but, above that, businessmen! If putting a sexy women in a ad that looks semi provacative will make them and extra million dollars a year, then why not do it? It is all about the $$$$$ All companies do this. Some do it with woman, some do it with other means of shock value. The Mathews attack adds, they might not have been the best way to promote their product, but, it opened up alot of peoples eyes to that company. Winners Choice add where they bash Zebra strings, yet again, not the best way to promote their product, but, it got alot of talk and opened up peoples eyes to their company!!!!!!!

The only thing getting me is calling this "porn"! Far from it. Anybody can see that. Should we ban art museums with sculptures of naked people in them?

The thing that gets me is people who say "I will not get a bow from company X because they did this/that in an add" What if a Martin bow is the absolute perfect bow for somebody and they refuse to buy it simply due to a add? Is that right?

That is my major problem. Somebody would be willing to throw out a great company like Martin, just because of an add. If it is all about the bows, then you should be able to ignore this add and get the bow that fits you, maybe it is a Martin, maybe not. Don't let the adds decide what fits you, you have to feel the bow and shoot the bow to decide if it is what works for you. If you only choose a company (be it car company, archery company, computer company, ect), by ethics and advertising, then you will be living in a shack that you made out of tree-bark and you won't own a single possession!!!!!!!!
