If you want pup to sit in front of you then move him in front of you with his lead, command sit, using the lead by pulling straight up on it to encourage pup to sit. When he does it right praise him. If it's not right then correct him by moving him to the right place, move him into sit, the praise. If you point to the spot where you want pup to go, then put him there with the lead, then make him sit, and praise him, he should soon start to get the message. Good Luck!
