I just went back and read your post. You said nothing about killing all those deer while you were on duty. You were referring to deer you had taken with a gun, bow, and muzzleloader. And now that someone has called you on it, your story has changed. So which is it? 100 or 200 deer? In a few more posts, maybe we can get it up to 3-400 and we can all compare you to Fred Bear.
I'm not saying a perfectly hit deer would only run 20 yards. I agree that 20 -100 yards is more the norm. Nowhere in my post did I say anything about how far a deer should run if hit perfectly. And I realize there are going to be situations where deer don't die instantly. I was just saying I was alarmed at all the deer that are not harvested in a quicker manner. I guess I have been exceptionally lucky then. I have no reason to lie. If I was lying, I would tell you that I've shot 1-200 deer in my lifetime. I truly have never had a deer run more than 20 yards on a bow or rifle kill.

Hey Davidmil, What is your season limit on deer in Maryland? What do you do with that much venison?
