Unlike ijimmy, I'm very happy to see Merlin go to the high brace heights. I say to heck with that extra speed. Give me shootability with good sleeve clearance any day, over extra speed. I've been hoping to see a trend in more shootable designs, as opposed to shorter then short, speed bows.

On the Merlins I've checked, I've found the manufacturer specs to be right on. Truth in advertising seems to be important to Merlin, and I like getting what I expect. I can't say I like the parallel limb design, so I'm likly to go with a Hunter's Quest as opposed to the new Max Extreme, but I will wait until I've had the opportunity to shoot one.
