RE: I think I got it....
Me too zak123.
Do this. At arms length hold up your left hand. With your thumb and forefinger make a circle. Look at something through this circle with both eyes open ... like a door knob, or glass, or something like that, and place that object in the center of your circle.
Now close your right eye. The object didn't move, did it ?
Now close your left eye. The object "jumped" didn't it ?
Theres how you tell - and if that happened you are left eye dominant.
I shot with a peep and assume you do ? You simply concentrate and forec yourself to look through the peep. Ever shot a rifle with a scope ? Both eyes open and looking with your right eye through the scope ? I do it, no problem.
I shoot basketball, right handed. My hand/arm alignment is NOT in tune with my left eye - but with my right eye. So how do I play ball without closing it ? I dunno, I just do it, and pretty good too. Your MIND knows how to compensate, this is especially true with trade bows and shooting instinctive.
Aanyway, just concentrate. You can actually force your right eye - retrain temporarily if you will - to become the dominant eye. Its not easy - for every waking moment of your life its been your left eye doing the dominance. But you can do it - and a peep makes it so much easier.
Try it - its not tough really.
