1950KID, It should be screwed into the rib. Maybe the threads are stripped. I've seen this happen before.Loosening it up and it won't come out. Try applying some upward pressure as you turn it.I run into this at work quite often and that's how I get them out.If it's stripped you'll probably have to go to an oversized thread retaping the hole when replacing the bead.
