Fair enough Bartman. I was thinking the same thing but did not want to be overbearing.
I recommend the following:
We are going to have to be a committed team. Those who are committed to both sections are in. Those who are not are out. Simple as that. I am not going to be apart of a team that is not committed to 100% effort. My goal is to be on a team that can and is willing to win both 'crowns'
We must decide who is in who is out.. I need to know soon!!!
You said some one needs to take charge but I am only making recommendations. If I offend someone please forgive me.
Here are some suggestions that I recommend for our " chosen" captian
If we need a captain, we need to vote as a team. Once a captain is chosen, we accept it. Mouths shut, ears open ( notice I am an a$$hole at times)
I feel the team should set these following rules.
If a member of our team does not have high expectations for himself, he will not achieve high results, therefore negative results that will affect the team.
Before any team can be succesfull the team must have these:
1. We all are equals in my book. Just because someone on our team may have accomplished more than another team member, does not mean that we have a pecking order of importance. I recommend do the following:
a. I feel like we need to be as considerate to each other as possible
b. Become friends. We need to respect each other in order to be succesful.
c. Every one needs to show up at each event!!! We are depending on each other. We win as a team, lose as one too.
d. Put some time in and practice!!! I mean put your heart into it. Don't expect to be carried by others.
We can drop our lowest score true, but any one of us can have a failure,, At the beginning of the world< I felt confident that I would make the cut for the 4th time, but my release broke, shot bad, end of story.. Guys anything can happen.
I have participated and been succesful in this game for along time. I consider myself knowledgeable and lucky
But.. I do no think that I would be the best canidate for captain..
I. I am subborn, ugly, heard-headed, and independent. I am easy going, love to have fun, but guys I am not good at taking a lot of lip, short tolerance for it.
You guys would love me or hate me.. and I don't want to be hated.
2. I have a lot or stress at my job.. I am a special education teacher. I have enough to worry about. Bartman, your a supervisor, Maybe you should not consider taking on the role as captain either,, Your job is enough to worry about.
3. So there are two other guys whom I do not know. One stated he made the cut last year, which means he obviously knows the game pretty well. The other guy stated that he may not be able to make all the shoots so... You know my opinion.
Just a suggestion.
Here is another suggestion.. we lead our selves. not have a "captain"
That is how my principale leads his staff of teachers at one of the schools that I teach at. We do our jobs to the best of our ability,, and that will take care of everything. The school is one of he best schools in the state.
This also avoids someone being overbearing, and hurting / causing hard feelings. Sure, I want to win, who doesn't, but not at the price of angering someone and making an enemy.. Eating crow is not good, I have done it and learned from it...
If you all feel like we need a captain, and no one else wants to do it, I will, and I will do my best.
What the team decides I support 100%
I want us to do well, this may be my last year in MBO, want to go out well.
