There is nothing wrong with the 100 grain Ballistic tip. I have loaded it in my 250 Savage for years. However I would not load it in the 257 Roberts to its full velocity potential. The 100 grain might be a little fragil at 3100-3200 fps. I load it to about 27-2800 fps in the 250 but would go to the 115 for the 257 Robert. I may be wrong and the 100 gr would be fine loaded down a bit for deer.
