hello I recently had a couple of binoculars sent to me so I could compare them. In the end I had the Nikon Monarchs in 10x42 for $300 and the Pentax in 10x42 for $650 and it seemed in all light conditions the Nikons were just as clear as the Pentax the Pentx had some nice feature but not worth the extra money.
