RE: Opinion on Broadhead
Bodkins feel like pressed tin in the hand as well, and they're cheap in every sense of the term, but I shot one into a brick wall one time inadvertently and it dressed up easily with a mill file because the point was barely turned. A Zwicky or something of that nature would have split up the middle of the ferrel.
Consequently, one probably shouldn't judge a head by how it looks, at least where durability is concerned.
I still wouldn't recommend a Bodkin for big game because it's a three edger but I wouldn't hesitate to use one just because of that. Maybe get a little closer than I would with a two edge head, that's all.
