I don't own a 22-250, but the guys that I know that do own one all prefer the 55 gr ballistic tip. Out of my 223's I like the Hornady 50 gr sxsp or Speer TNT. For shooting at paper any hp should suffice. I like the sxsp because they're cheap enough to shoot at paper and the ground hogs are a spray of red in the wind. Vmax should be the equivalent to the ballistic tip. You'll have to see what combo your gun likes. H380 is a good starting point. From what I've heard about 10-15 thousandths off the lands is where accuracy shines, but every gun is different. What type of rig are we talking about?
