RE: new dog and training
My only choice is a labrador retriever. That's all I've ever had. I've spent considerable time around other breeds but I still love my labs. They're very dedicated to you and to hunting. They are terrific family dogs too.
You'll get other opinions of course, but my choice is with out a doubt a lab.
