You will have to decide what you want the projectile to do other then dispatch the animal your shooting. Do you want pass through penetration or at least deep penetration? Perhaps your looking for a bullet that has real internal devastation? What ranges are you going to be shooting? All of these will determine the projectile weight, and style. All rifles have their favorite projectile. Something they shoot better then anything else. Of course shot placement is a key factor in all shooting situations.

I know a lot of people are worried about how fast they can load the second shot. Perhaps that is important. I worry more about the first shot. One thing I noticed some shooters do is start with one load as their favorite first shot, then have a powerbelt or other sabot that loads easy in a fowled gun for their "backup shot." That way they are getting the best of both worlds.
