Default RE: CWD Map

Hard to believe that anyone is naive enough to think cwd is not going to continue spreading. You will never totally erradicate it you many slow it down but is here to stay. Dop you think you can kill every deer in theses areas or inoculate if it is transfered by contact are you going to put up signs telling the deer not to come in contact with each other. these prions have been shown to exist in the soil for a very long time so that one deer say eating acorns could possibly infect a deer that comes and feeds in the same place days later. I dont remember where I read it but 12 mice were infected with cwd half developed the prion half did not one of those that did not have it was used to inject 12 other mice and the same thing happened. So is the prion the cause of cwd or is it just a symptom.
