I don't think anyone intentionally bashed MADCOW
could have fooled me?
If your mother really did die on CJD (probably another one of your lies), I'm truly sorry. But she would be an extremely rare victim.
Your arguments are akin to having your mother struck by lightning (which isn't as rare as suffering from CJD) and then crusading against standing under the open sky. Get a life and cry to people who are willing to give up their happiness in fear of some miniscule risk.

Moms death from hvCJD

TSS = Terry S. Singeltary Sr.
TSE = Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy
hvCJD = Heidenhain Variant Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease
so in 30 or so years with millions of contacts (cow/deer)(human/deer)there still is not a case speculative or documented
the 5th cow and 1st sheep was recently documented contracting CWD in
the Lab by inoculation. anyone that knows anything about TSEs knows we
must wait for the testing of the oral route due to the very long incubation
period.
madcow going on about being a veghead but not hating hunters if you are going to quote what i said, please quote it correctly. never
said i was a veghead (see full email below), in fact had a plate full
of smoked porkies last night.
hello farmcntry;
i will try, but the urls i have these documents posted to, some are vegsource
site urls and i am afraid i will scare off what few are willing to read the data
with a url to vegsource. they are peer reviewed articles from journals that
cost a great deal of money to access and i am giving the data here free.
seems like people would be grateful, but some cannot see the forest for the
trees, and others never will. I am not a veghead, they wife is a dairy and
fish veghead, but not before what happen to my Mother. The vegsource
site has given me a platform to post my research and i am very grateful
for that. However, some of the data I have posted to other deer hunter boards
in other states etc, and they too were very much offended when i first started
to post data there, but then became very thankful when they realized i was not
the peta bogeyman. i only seek the truth, which we have not been told.
i am here as only the messenger. i am not against hunting as i said, in fact
before i became disabled from my neck injury i loved to go into the woods and
hunt. i am against game farms, but that is just my opinion, these game farms
need the data too. we are all in this damn boat together, and together, we must
eradicate this damn disease. ignorance and denial is not the answer. and i do not
have all the answers, but i have studied this on a daily basis for 6 years as of
yesterday MOM DOD 12/14/97 hvCJD 'confirmed'. i will tell you something else
i did not mention. my neighbors mother died exactly one year previously,
to THE DAY of my mom of CJD, her case was confirmed as well. i don't know
how long i will last here, i move in and out. no where am i welcomed, but some
have come to respect my knowledge...i only wish to share that with all. we must
stop this agent...I WILL try and shorten my postings, and try to reference data
with urls i have posted to other hunting boards. ................later.......terry/TSS

CJD Prions a Surgery Risk?
Joan Stephenson, PhD
JAMA. 2003;290:3057.
Researchers from Switzerland have discovered that prions, the hardy infectious proteins responsible for Creuzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), can be detected in skeletal muscle of affected patients. This finding, they said, suggests that surgical equipment used on patients with CJD could subsequently transmit the virus to others because the sterilization procedures routinely used for surgical implements do not destroy prions (N Engl J Med. 2003;349:1812-1820).
Using an extremely sensitive prion detection method, the researchers examined brain tissue and extraneural organs of 36 patients with sporadic CJD. In addition to detecting prions in the brain tissue of all patients, they found prions in 10 of 28 spleen specimens and in 8 of 22 samples of skeletal muscles.
Neurological examinations of patients in the prodromal stages of sporadic CJD often include electromyography and muscle biopsies. Thus, the researchers said, finding prions in skeletal muscle of patients with the disorder "reinforces calls for the use of single-use needle electrodes and of special protocols for the sterilization of surgical instruments used for biopsies."
The article this news story refers to was published in the New England Journal of Medicine, vol. 349, pages1812-1820

FINAL TRANSMISSION TO REDNECK BOARD
with this said, i have put the data to you, it is here,
use it, wipe your @ss with it, i dont care.
the rest of you rude ignorant bastards can kiss my ass
(the rude ones only).
i'm through, if you want to stay stupid and watch your
sport disolve before your eyes, so be it. it's the hunters
that must stop this agent, but not from what i have seen
from this board... if you want to ask a question write to my
email, i will not post anymore here for now. there are others
that want this data, ones that are serious about stopping
this agent...all i see here for the most part is a bunch of
ignorant rednecks, at least for the ones that continued
to slam me...good luck///
