Default RE: Digital camera!

Aro, you are somewhat right. Megapixel's have to do with image size. The more pixels, the bigger the original image is recorded. It's the same as film when it comes to nlarging. The bigger the original image/negative the better it can be enlarged. A camera that has is 1.6 Meg can have pictures blown up to 5x7 without loss of quality, but when made bigger the image will lose sharpness. The 2-3 megs can be enlarged to at least 8x10 and possibly bigger. My camera is a 6.3 megapixel and can take up to 16x20 pictures with loss of quality. With most snapshot (3x5 or 4x6) you cant tell the difference between a 2, 4 or 6 meg camera. The lenses are very important, a big key of getting good sharp pics. Also with digital telephoto's you lose image clarity, it's always best to get it optically.
