On the contrary badshotbob. I think the idea of it alone destroys the integrity of the sport. I also think it can give fuel for the antis fire. They are wound up enough about hunting free roaming animals. What do you think their response to putting one in a cage and hunting it will be? Try justifying to them how fenced animals are a fair hunt. If other hunters here disagree about it what will they say? No words in the world can make them see any positive point on hunting fenced animals.
NY - The integrity of the sport for who? For me? Not in my thinking. I wouldn't hunt fences but if people want to, I'm not going to let it ruin my hunt. I am against abortion but this doesn't stop me from having kids. I understand your point and your position brother, but I don't know if this would exactly fuel any fires for the antis - these people are such freaks as it is, just the mere mention of hunting makes them shutter. I think everyone on this board thinks a little differently about all things hunting, that doesn't make us right or wrong IMO. Take a boar hunt - I plan on trying to get one in this February. In MI, they are penned in, I think they have to be. What other way would I be able to hunt a boar in MI? None. So I think it's ok. We can disagree though, that's perfectly ok too.
