RE: my wife needs her own rifle
My wife has a 250 Savage bolt adtion that she loves. I did however just pick up a Ruger M77 Stainless synthetic stocked 260 that sha also really likes. I may be wrong but I think Ruger chambers that in 257 Robert as well. I would take her to a gun shop and let her look at the Rugers. The Model 7 Remington might also fit her well.
