I always thought that Remington picked the chambering for the Classic based on nastalgia (spelling). If you go the Remington website most of the voters picked the .300 Rem Ultra[&:][:'(].....dosen't seem this cartridge deserves the "classic" status as of yet As is always the case the shooting communinty can't make a decision....about like takeing a girl out for super[8D].


If it were up to me I would choose the .300 H&H or .250 Savage......maybe the .284 win..........LOL, NBH
