Default RE: i think i shot a a really nice one....need some input

You know, my dad had the same predicament this year on a big 8point with his bow. Let me tell you the story. We had a stand up that I sat on Friday of that week. I saw the deer that my dad was going to shoot the next day,but I could not get a good shot on it because it saw me drawing back and it just walked away. I knew not to take the shot if the deer was walking away, because i would probably not get it. it was too late anyway. So I let it walk. We came back to the same spot the next day and I decided to let my dad sit it. He had not sat there ten minutes, and in came the same deer. He could not believe it because it came in the exact way and went to the exact same spot that I had told him. It layed down on the trail and my dad decided it was time to take the shot. He drew his matthews back and he let it rip. I heard the mechanical broadhead open up all the way at my stand(about 100 yds away). I heard the buck go crashing through the woods and it stopped then it took off again once again crashing down. It did this several times until it was out of earshot. I knew right away what had happened. he had hit the deer I saw the day before. I got really excited. He came through a little while later and told me about it. We tracked it for 200 yards and then it got too dark on us. the real problem was that it was lightly drizzling and it was starting to rain.We had to quit tracking for the night and wait until early the next morning. Needless to say, we did not get much sleep that night. We went out early the next moring and tracked it another100yards before finding it wedged between 2 trees. That was amazing considering that we had lost all blood and tracks the night before. We just kept doing zig zags every 20 yards until e found the deer. well, my fingers are really tired, so I am going to quit. Hope you did not get a headache from reading this.lol. Hope it helped.
