Will he be back???
Tonight I was out bowhunting the weather wasn,t too good the snow was fallen, and the wind was gusting periodically.I thought maybe hunting the creek bed was the place to be since there was lot's of cover from the wind and snow.
I set up in a fallen pine tree. After an hour I thought the weather was screwing everything up so I decided to go for a walk just to see if any deer were moving. I walked for a couple of miles and there had been no sign of any deer on the move. When I got back to the trail I started on, just were I had come up from the creek bed .I see a fresh set of track's heading down to the creek.I look down to where my treeblind was and there standing not 15yrds in front of it .The buck spotted me and was off like a jack rabbit ,I was only able to stand and watch him clear 2 fences and back to his safe cover. I knew it ! Iknew I should have stayed put that buck would have been down .At that I remembered that buck and this was the 3rd time our path's had crossed and twice he had spotted me first . The first time I had the fortunate experience to watch him scrap with another buck in the same field I had just watched him escape to. I knew better than to move but I didn;t think anything would be moving. I plan on being there in the morning .The weather is supposed to be-5 .
What I was wanting to know is will this buck continue to use this creek bed again or do you think 3 strikes and your out . I have him down to seeing him twice in the evening and once in the morning do you think maybe he might be back in the morning????
I sure hope so!!!!
