Unless the rifle was intended for pellets, I would stay away from them. The pyrodex pellets have a small amount of black powder on one end which is intended to catch the spark in the center of the pellet from the rear, not the side. There are some that have fired the pellets from sidelocks. I am not sure how effective that was. I never have. I figure why mess with it when the gun is not made for it. Besides, loose power is so much better in my opinion then pellets.
