I've never been a big fan of bear. I usually only keep a couple of roasts for the slow cooker, and make the rest into pepperettes, and sausage. The only reason I even buy a bear tag every fall is that since the government banned spring hunting, I've noticed a substantial increase in bear numbers on my families land. I don't mind seeing the odd bear, but when there gets to be so many, they start becoming a real pain in the a$$. Last year our trash shed went through 2 plywood doors.
