Bait piles have never been much of a factor here in Ohio so far I know. Although, I have heard that they will come to vanilla saturated salt blocks like a magnet. So, the hay bale saturated with molasses and vanilla should be a good concoction. I believe molasses and vanilla is really cheap so that might be an effective and economical tactic.
