Default RE: 2004 Patriot

I shot the bow today and was very impressed. No recoil and fairly quiet with the lightweight arrows I was shooting. It balanced better than prior Bowtech models and the slim grip was very nice. It seemed a little hard to pull for 70#, until we put it on the scale and realized it was maxed at 76#. The draw cycle was very acceptable for that weight.

The draw length was deadnuts 27", which was nice to see since it had the 27" module. My only real complaint in the past was that Bowtech overstated their draw lengths. Unfortunately, my shop did not have a 28" module, so we adjusted the draw legth a little with the infinity cam and put a slightly longer loop on it.

The bow chrono'd 276 fps with a 400 grain arrow, with the 27" mods at 76#. The only things on the string were a single nock and string loop. I think that by backing the bow down to 70# but adding the 1" draw (28" module), my speed should stay about the same. I expected a little more speed, but that is certainly acceptable.

With my correct 28" mods and the bow backed down to a lower draw weight, this bow should be very pleasant to shoot. I also shot the new Liberty, considering the difference in draw weight, I personally liked the SC Pat better (go figure).
