Well the last couple of days I have been traveling westerly back and forth to Bangor. My wife and I have been seeing some nice looking toms moving around. Then those morning I took a short drive scouting and saw a small group with a nice tome shading the hens around. But it’s looking like the past few years as the flocks break up they tend to leave the fields for the most part.. It just adds to trying to figure them out. I still have to wait until May but it’s great to see them..

Also for something interesting a large tom was given a transmitter to help record its movement. They had recorded it to have traveled almost 50 miles. While it was the only one recorded at that distance I find it very surprising. One of the areas it went through wasn’t far from my camp. So not all turkeys act the same..
