Umarex Prymex
I had a Benjamin Steel Eagle .22 cal pellet gun for a couple years and to say the least it wasn't that accurate and about 2 months ago it totally crapped out on me.
I had the urge to buy another pellet rifle so I did some research and ended up buying a Umarex Prymex from Amazon.com for just over $85. The reviews were pretty good for this basic rifle. I received it today and I had a cardboard box layered with sheets of cardboard ready to go. I first checked the open sights and had them spot on after only 3 shots. So I installed the cheap 4X scope that came with it and got it close in my garage aiming 1 1/2" above the bull adjusting the scope until I hit the bull.
I set a target up at 20 yards and started to tweak the scope. Shooting off a makeshift rest in my garage shooting out across the driveway I was really amazed how accurate this cheap rifle is. It put the Benjamin to shame. It was really easy to shoot 5 shots with all touching or maybe one off a bit but that could have been me and the wobbly rest. The trigger isn't the best but it isn't too horribly bad.
I can taste the BBQ squirrel already!
