If you are talking about the 7mm Rem. mag. vs the .30/'06, the way the factories are loading the 7 Rem. Mag. these days, the '06 is every bit as good, if not a little better. However, if you handload, the 7 Mag. can be loaded to give you a little bit flatter trajectory than the '06, at extended ranges! But with a 200 or 220-grain Nosler handloaded to the max. in an '06, you have an extremely effective weapon for all game in North America except perhaps the biggest brown bears. It would also do very well in Africa for anything except Cape Buffalo, elephant, rhino and hippos.
