Default RE: Bacon Grease & Bait Hole Sets

I have never tried that but bet it would work great for coons! I stick with prepared baits and lures on my canine line. I don't think you would get a coyote to come to bacon grease here, they would know something wasn't right from the start. The coyotes out here get trapped, called, shot from airplanes, you name it they get it. They are highly educated, especially to the trapping game. I have my best luck with blind sets in trails and snares. I can't tell you how many times I've had coyotes come to a set and circle the set three feet out and not go in, they wear a trail in the dirt. They are interested but they know better. I mainly use Fox Hollow and Russ Carmen lures and Powder River paste bait. These have been the best for me.
