Default Savage Axis 308

Well like every other Savage I have and or had, this one is another shooter. First time out with 150 grain bullets I was a bit dasappointed. The best I could do was 2.5" groups. But like all the new Axis without the Accutrigger the trigger pull is horrible. I initially tried installing the Mcarbo Pro Trigger Kit but This rifle did not have the hole threaded to accept the Mcarbo set screw so I had to return it. I ended up buying a Rifle Basix SAV-1 trigger and installed in in about 15-20 mins having a sweet 2.5 lb trigger with zero creep or overtravel.
Took the rifle out this time with 180 gr Barnes TSX bullets and shot back to back MOA groups with it (except for a called flyer). For a strong reliable hunting rifle I don't see where you can go wrong with the Axis.
