I always liked single shot rifles but man I'm really liking these CVA Scouts. I initially bought one in .45-70 to convert into a smokeless muzzleloader but it shot so good I kept it as is and bought another for the conversion. Both of these rifles, the .45-70 and the conversion shoot MOA on average.
Well last week I picked up another in .44 mag and it too didn't disappoint. I sighted it in with some 240 gr Hornady XTPs at 75 yards and it was packing them in a nice little cluster. I loaded up some 225 gr FTXs and can't wait to see how they shoot. I also have some 265 FTXs on order.
