Well, she got her legs stretched all right. 1 HUGE nanny doe (huge for TN standards) at the monstrously long range of 40 yards. Dead right there, not even a half step just dropped. No bullet recovery. Exit hole of near 2 inches. High shoulder impact taking both lungs and spine,
Nice 4.5 year old 8 point fairly large body. Guess the good rainfall middle TN had helped fatten the deer up. Hit him quartering away a decent bit at 85 yards. Hit in the pocket and exited dead center sternum around the same size exit hole. Heart, total mass of jelly. Have to give props to those Thor hammers. They do their jobs quite well. The CVA has now performed well in the field which to me is where it counts the most. It comes to shoulder very well. Has a good heft and balance. And as long as I do my part, it holds it's accuracy. Very pleased with this rifle.
Michael and Alex both connected on 2 nice fat doe each. Noone in this family could care less about racks. Only thing we worry about is freezer space!
