Default Hunting Partys Using Comms To locate Deer

A lot of my hunting cohorts are now using GMRS radios both handheld and vehicle mounted. So, after some thoughts I took the leap and bought a 5W handheld radio along with a 50w to be mounted in my Jeep. I hunted with some buds on the eastern shore MD in the Blackwater Swamp and the Cunningham Swamp last season. They all had GMRS handheld radios with ear buds. I found they really came in handy especially when deer is spotted and the direction they travel. I recently used the handheld a Midland GXT67 Pro and was able to chat with a bud in Smithville on the eastern shore from St. Leonard. The handheld along with the 50w are capable of using repeaters too. This week end I will be installing the 50w in the Jeep. In MD there are no laws that prevent using comms during hunting. On State hunting lands there is no bating, no use of electronic calls and dogs are against the law in all of MD. On private property you can bate and use calls.
