RE: Varmit hunters, Loads, bullets for 22-250?
I've fired almost every bullet possible through a .22-250 from 40 grain to 60 grain.
I strongly prefer 50-55 grain bullets and frankly there isn't a bummer out there....they all seem to be superb bullets.
When it comes to Prairie dogs, I love Speers 50 Gr TNT ahead of H-380 powder.
Nosler BTs and Hornady V-Max bullets are also spectacular and some real grest bullets are available from Berger.
H-380 and H-414 powders seem my favorites and flat base bullets seem to be as good or better than boat tails. Economics dictates that you at least try the Speer TNT 50 Grain bullet.
