Wow!! How about that! I bet it was a ton of work to get it gutted and packed with ice until you made it to the butcher shop. Glad the meat didn't go to waste.
Yes car it really was a pile of work but worth every bit of it. After I got it all dressed out I trailered it out beside the house and went to the store. That was only around a mile from here and I used the wife’s car for that. I bought 3 of those big bags of ice and shoved them in it as well as between the hinds. Then put a cinch strap over it so it would be ready to roll while I contacted a butcher who could take it. By 7:30 am I was on my way.. I had a loss of around 10 to 15 pounds of meat and that was about it.
