Yep. The ONLY improvement in pistol design since the 1911 is the double stack 1911. DA/SA, DAO, Safe Action, etc., all designed by lawyers.

I've got a couple Para Ordnance P14-45's that I shot in competitions for many years, and recently added a couple of doublestack 9mm's to my collection, a Rock Island Armory .22TCM/9mm and a Springfield Armory Prodigy.
