Big Sky Warrior Outreach recently held our 2022 Montana Purple Heart recipients cow elk hunt near Big Timber. Three service members qualified thru the state of Montana's Purple Heart recipients program, in which the public can donate back licenses and tags to the state, then the state awards qualified veterans who are working with a approved 501 c 3, one of which Big Sky Warrior Outreach is. All three veterans tagged their animals, with one veteran from Libby, MT adding another cow on their Montana general tag! Meats of Montana/Pioneer Meats in Big Timber donated all processing of the animals. This hunt could not have taken place without the support of landowners and volunteers. Besides the hunt, participants also were shown Paradise Valley down to Gardiner and into the northern side of Yellowstone NP. They also were provided a tour of Shiloh Rifles in Big Timber, A big shout out to Robert and Phyllis there! Thanks again to everyone!
