I have three 270 winchesters, a 270 weatherby, a 7mm mag, and a 264 Winchester mag.
when I inherited the 270 weatherby and the 7 mag I instantly wanted to hate them. I owned them for years before I finally shot them. The 7mm is a Remington 700, and I was a Winchester guy.
The 7 mag Matter how much I wanted to hate it won me over. I have shot a pile of groups that are sub 1" at 300 yards. I used it to shoot a couple deer and an elk. My son shot a cow elk with it a few years ago. As much as I wanted to hate it, I can't.
my 7mm mag will toss a 139 gr Hornady at 3200 and some change. My 270 will do 3000. My 264 is a pre 64 Winchester. Im struggling to het it to shoot well.
