Bronko, you can also get the 45 1-20 in a Ultra Lite barrel kit for the same price. BIG weight difference vs a Mountaineer 45 barrel and for a hunting rig its a nicer setup unless long range is the goal. In the Extreme stock you would save about a pound in weight vs your 50cal Extreme. Im thinking about getting one but my 54-120 stock is not inlet for the forked lug. I would need to do some minor inletting in the lug area.

Shooting mostly smaller conicals for deer you wont give up anything vs the Mountaineer barrel. The 24" Ulite barrel will still easily send them down range as fast as you need.
