I inherited a Browning Lever Action Rifle (BLR) from a relative and I wanted to know more about the gun. The serial number stamped in the steel on the underneath side of the receiver, and just in front of the trigger guard and just behind the magazine is 11 K69. I know the K=BLR and 69=1969, but what does the number 11 mean? Number 11 BLR made in 1969? 11 as in the 11th month or November of 1969? Could this be a pre-production rifle prior to them be manufactured in Belgium? Anyone willing and able to give me advise on this rifle or where I can find more information?
