I purchased a pair of Celestron Outland 10x42 binos for a mulie/antelope hunt in WY several years ago and I was impressed. In fact my guide, who was carrying a pair of Leicas, asked to look through them. I guess he wanted to see how inferior they were to his expensive Leicas. But after looking through them and switching back and forth between mine and his he stated that he was really impressed with how clear they were. He never heard of Celestron before.
In regard to roger's post, almost every guide I had used a spotting scope for glassing at long ranges. The binos only came into play when moving in closer - 500 yards and in. Yes they would occasionally glass long range with the binos but pull out the spotter for evaluation of an animal.
